The government has a new, short-term scheme aimed at helping small & medium size businesses in Harlow bid for larger local procurement opportunities : Opportunity Harlow.

It’s initially a pilot program running from January to June, then may increase both the area covered and the support on offer.  It is  is free as the programme is funded by the UK Government.

For eligible businesses they will:

• help you understand how public sector and private procurement works
• explain how to navigate the systems and processes in place
•  show you how to bid for opportunities yourself
• show you how to bid as part of a consortia with other local SMEs

It’s also restarted the Harlow Business Exhibition: the next one is on 22 September, at Paringdon Sports Club, Harlow

Various other schemes have come and gone over the years, without a lot of lasting impact on the town,  We hope this one does better,
